What is BaZi?
BaZi (八字), also known as the Four Pillars, is a traditional Chinese system that represents birth information through Year, Month, Day, and Hour pillars. Each pillar contains a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch.
Do I need to know my birth time?
No. Birth time is optional. If you provide it, the Hour Pillar can be included in the analysis. If not, the calculation proceeds with the Year, Month, and Day pillars.
Why are both birth dates needed?
A wedding date should work for both partners. By checking each candidate date against both BaZi profiles, BaZi Days can identify dates that are suitable for the couple as a whole, not just individually.
How is the Match Score calculated?
The Match Score combines two layers: personal compatibility (60%) — structural checks against both BaZi profiles including Earthly Branch clashes, punishments, harms, and harmonies — and traditional calendar quality (40%) — marriage suitability, major calendar exclusions, Twelve Day Officers, and 28 Mansions.
Is BaZi Days scientifically proven to predict marriage outcomes?
No. BaZi date selection is a traditional cultural practice, not a scientific method. The Match Score is a comparative ranking within the BaZi Days methodology, not a probability of marriage success.
